CCTV for Dearman Bartlett funeral directors, New Romney
In March 2026 a man with a hammer smashed shop windows on New Romney High Street, including those of Dearman Bartlett funeral directors. We installed CCTV with active detect and deter, connected to the owners’ smartphones, so the High Street is now watched and intruders are warned off.
What happened
On the night of 26 March 2026, a hooded man smashed shop windows on New Romney High Street with a hammer. The attack was caught on camera and reported by ITV Meridian. Dearman Bartlett’s windows were among those smashed.
What we installed
- CCTV covering the shop fronts, the entrance and the pavement, with cameras under the fascia, in the soffit and on the brickwork.
- Active detect and deter. The cameras recognise people and can warn them off with lights and sound, so someone up to no good knows they’ve been seen before they do any damage.
- On the owners’ smartphones through the EAV Net app, so they can check the premises and get alerts wherever they are.
- Set-up help after installation, so everyone who needs the app has it working.
Following the attack, we’re very pleased to now have both businesses protected on the High Street. Let’s hope it puts off future incidents.
What the client says
“We recently had Nova install a new CCTV system and the experience was flawless from start to finish. From the initial enquiry call with Georgie to the site visit where Ricky talked through our options, the team was incredibly friendly and professional. The installers, Alex and Jack, arrived on time, completed the work efficiently, and left the premises spotless. The support hasn’t stopped there, though; the aftercare has been brilliant, especially with the help provided to get all the cameras set up. We highly recommend Nova to anyone looking for a seamless and reliable service. Thank you.”
