FireFind: see where the fire is
FireFind is our own fire location service. When your fire alarm operates, FireFind sends keyholders and the fire service a link to your building’s own floor plan, showing which detector has operated and, as more detectors operate, where the fire is spreading. Built by Nova: we include it with the Ajax EN54 systems we install, and other fire and security installers offer it to their clients through firefind.co.uk.
How FireFind works
A detector operates
Your Ajax EN54 system raises the alarm exactly as it normally would: sounders, the panel and any alarm monitoring.
FireFind receives the signal
It knows which device has operated, because every device is placed on your floor plan from our design.
Keyholders get a link
The link opens your building’s floor plan with the detector marked. No account, no password and no app.
The plan updates as the fire spreads
Each further detector that operates appears on the plan, so people can see how the fire is moving.
What FireFind isn’t
It doesn’t replace your fire alarm panel, your alarm receiving centre or a 999 call. Sending the fire service a link isn’t the same as calling them: someone still needs to call 999. Your fire alarm is still designed, installed and maintained to BS 5839-1:2025 and works on its own. FireFind adds information on top.

Why it matters in Kent
For most premises, Kent Fire and Rescue Service asks callers to confirm a fire, or signs of fire, before it sends crews to an automatic fire alarm. That puts the pressure on whoever responds first.
- The person checking knows which room and which floor to look at, instead of reading zone text at the panel
- Keyholders miles away can see what’s happening before they set off
- Responders can see whether the fire is spreading, and where
Your plan, your devices
We set FireFind up with your building’s own floor plan and every device in the position we installed it, working from the design we drew for your building, so what keyholders see matches the building.
FireFind questions
Do keyholders need an app or an account?
No. FireFind sends a link. There’s no account, no password and no app to install, so it works for anyone you choose to include.
Does FireFind replace alarm monitoring?
No. Your fire alarm works on its own, and it can still be monitored by an alarm receiving centre. FireFind adds one thing: showing people where the fire is. It doesn’t replace a 999 call either.
Which fire alarms work with FireFind?
Ajax EN54 wireless fire systems. When we install yours, we set FireFind up with your building’s own floor plan, with every device where we installed it. If another installer looks after your Ajax EN54 system, ask them about FireFind.
I’m an installer. Can I offer FireFind?
Yes. FireFind is for fire and security installers who fit Ajax EN54 fire systems: you add it to the buildings you look after and choose who is told when the alarm operates. Book a demo at firefind.co.uk.
