Accreditations and credentials
Our certifications are independently audited, and you can check them yourself. Here’s what we hold, what each one means, and where to verify it.
BAFE SP203-1: fire detection and alarm systems
Nova Security Systems S.E. Ltd is BAFE SP203-1 Registered Organisation No. 303674 for all four modules: Design, Installation, Commissioning/Handover and Maintenance. We’re third-party certificated by NSI, one of the UKAS-accredited certification bodies licensed by BAFE for the scheme.
BAFE registers companies module by module, and not every company holds all four. Holding all four means one company is audited and responsible for your fire alarm from design to maintenance. How to check any company on the BAFE register.
NSI Fire Silver and NSI Systems Silver
We’re NSI Fire Silver approved for fire detection and alarm systems, through our BAFE SP203-1 certification, and NSI Systems Silver approved for intruder alarms, CCTV and access control. NSI’s Silver approvals require the same technical competence as its Gold approvals; Gold adds ISO 9001 quality management certification.
NSI approval is recognised by police forces and insurers. It’s what allows us to apply for police Unique Reference Numbers (URNs) so the police respond to qualifying intruder alarms.

Team credentials
- SSSTS: CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme — for running work safely on construction sites.
- Enhanced DBS: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks — for work in schools, care settings and other sensitive premises.
- MOD site passes: Passes for working on Ministry of Defence sites, issued through VINCI.
- IPAF: Powered access (PAL card) training for mobile elevating work platforms such as cherry pickers and scissor lifts.
- PASMA: Training to build, move and use mobile access towers safely.
