New CAME ATI motors for a set of commercial gates

For a commercial site in Folkestone, we upgraded the automation on an existing set of mesh swing gates to CAME’s new ATI motors, keeping the gates themselves.

Upgrade, rather than replace

If the gates, posts and hinges are sound, new motors can be a far cheaper way to get reliable automatic gates than replacing the lot. We check the gates are in good condition and suitable, then upgrade the automation and the safety devices to match.

What we installed

  • CAME ATI motors, ram-type operators for swing gates, on the existing gate leaves.
  • CAME photocells, which stop the gates closing on a vehicle or person in the opening.
  • Automatic gate warning signs on the gates.

As a Gate Safe registered installer and a CAMESafe company, we install to recognised best practice. Prices for automating existing gates · AliGates swing gates with CAME ATI motors

Questions

Can you put new motors on my existing gates?

Usually, yes. If the gates, posts and hinges are sound, new motors, controls and safety devices cost far less than new gates. Automating an existing pair of gates starts from £1,750 + VAT (£2,100 inc. VAT).

Do automatic gates need safety devices?

Yes. Powered gates are machinery, so the safety devices they need, such as photocells and safety edges, come from a risk assessment, and the safety standard is BS EN 12453.

Do you work on gates other companies installed?

Yes. We repair, service and upgrade automatic gates whoever installed them.
